Funky Dream 2.0 isn't just marking three years since my first tape on 8beats - it's a full-on celebration of 8Beats itself. Alongside my personal favorites, this tape features several tracks I stumbled upon while tuning into the station. In an age where streaming algorithms curate our music and keep us in our comfort zones, 8Beats brought back something I hadn't felt since my teenage years: that rush when a song comes on the radio and stops you in your tracks, leaving you desperate to catch the title before it's gone forever. Big thanks to Quosm, PP, and Lovethebomb for making this happen, and to all the residents for their tapes. Here's to 8Beats - may it keep the tunes flowing!
